Our Promise

The 60-Day Interview Guarantee

Land an interview within 60 days of receiving your new resume, or we will give you a full refund and a free expert rewrite. It applies to every package and every Winnipeg client.

5 Simple Steps

How Our Winnipeg Resume Writing Service Works

Our method starts with one question, what does this Winnipeg employer need to see to call you, and it is backed by our 60-day interview guarantee.

Tell Us About You

A consultation by phone or video about the roles you are targeting, the employers on your list and anything that complicates the story, from a seasonal layoff to a move from another province.

Gather Your Info

Your current resume, two or three postings you would apply to, your tickets, registrations and certifications, and the numbers behind your work: budgets, crews, caseloads, claims, units.

Resume Writing

A writer who has sat on the hiring side drafts your resume, and the cover letter and LinkedIn profile if you chose them. Your first draft arrives within 2 to 3 business days.

Your Feedback Matters

We refine every document with you until it reads like you on your best day, with revisions included for two weeks.

It’s Go Time

Apply with a resume that clears the screening questions and makes sense to the selection board that reads it next, as a PDF and a Word file for the portals that ask.

Beat the Bots

Get More Interviews with an ATS-Ready Winnipeg Resume

97.4% of Fortune 500 companies screen resumes with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS). So do Winnipeg’s main employers: the City’s careers portal, the Shared Health and WRHA job site, Manitoba Hydro’s online profile and MPI’s talent community. We engineer every line and layout to be read in full.

ATS-Optimized Layouts

One column, standard headings, no tables or text boxes, so the portal, the recruiter and the hiring panel all read the same resume.

Keyword-Enriched Content

The job titles, registrations, systems and qualifications the posting uses, in the spelling it uses, placed where the software and the screener both find them.

Before & After

We Turn Duties Into Measurable Wins

Most Winnipeg resumes list duties and tickets. Selection boards here score the qualifications in the ad, and plant managers hire on scope, safety and numbers. We replace the lines they skim past with lines that prove something.

BeforeResponsible for processing claims and answering customer calls.
AfterAdjusted 1,300 auto physical damage claims a year for a Manitoba Crown insurer, closing 93% within target and cutting reopened files by a third.
BeforeObjective: To obtain a position where I can use my skills.
AfterAdministered a $3.8 million provincial grant program: 280 applications reviewed a year, decisions cut from 10 weeks to 6 and no appeals upheld.
BeforeAircraft mechanic. Various shops.
AfterAME M licence holder on CF34 and CFM56 engine overhauls at a Winnipeg MRO shop, 2,200 shop hours a year and zero rejected inspections across four audits.
BeforeDuties include patient care and charting.
AfterCharge nurse on nights for a 30-bed medicine unit at Health Sciences Centre, leading a team of 9 and precepting four new graduates.
BeforeWorked on the line building buses.
AfterFinal assembly lead on a 12-person crew building 40-foot transit buses at a Winnipeg plant, 18 units a week with under 1% rework and no lost-time injuries.
BeforeLaid off in 2025. Seeking new opportunities.
AfterManaged $14 million in annual freight spend across 60 carriers for a Winnipeg food distributor, cutting late deliveries from 9% to 3%.

Winnipeg Resume Transformation

How We Transform a Winnipeg Resume

One Winnipeg client, before and after, with the names and employers changed. A fleet operations manager at CentrePort who had written his own resume the way drivers write them: duties, dates and a line about the Jets.

After: page 1 of the two-page Winnipeg transportation operations manager resume we wrote, with CCLP beside the name, a credentials and compliance block and quantified fleet results
AFTER
Before: a one-page resume headed Operations Manager, with an objective statement, duty bullets, a personal email address, an interests line and references on request BEFORE

See the full two-page after resume →

The same Winnipeg operations manager, one page before and two pages after.

The CCLP Moves Beside the Name

A Class 1 licence and a line about safety tickets sat near the bottom of the page. Now CCLP sits beside the name under the title the posting uses, Transportation Operations Manager, and the P.Log, the Class 1A, the NSC work and the safety tickets get a block of their own.

The Fleet Comes Before the Duties

“In charge of the day to day operations” becomes an overview a Winnipeg carrier can picture: a for-hire fleet at CentrePort, 140 power units, 310 trailers, 165 drivers, three terminals and 44,000 loads a year, before a single result is read.

Duties Turned Into Numbers

“Make sure loads get delivered on time” becomes on-time delivery raised from 89% to 97.4%, “deal with driver issues” becomes turnover cut from 58% to 24%, and “safety and compliance” becomes a CVSA out-of-service rate taken from 21% to 6% through two audits.

The Winnipeg Job Market

How Hiring Works in Winnipeg, and What It Means for Your Resume

Winnipeg is a capital city, a Crown corporation town and a head office city for insurance, investments and grain. The Legislature, the hospitals and the head offices are downtown, the aerospace plants sit beside the airport, the bus plants and the rail shops are in the west end and Transcona, and each employer reads a resume differently.

The Employers of the Gateway to the West

Public administration anchors the market. The Manitoba core public service had 12,566 active employees at March 31, 2025, and the Crown head offices are here: Manitoba Hydro with more than 5,000 people in 80 career streams, MPI with nearly 2,000 employees, and Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries. Health care is the other anchor. The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and its operating entities employ approximately 18,000 people, more than 8,000 of them at Health Sciences Centre, and St. Boniface Hospital adds over 4,000. Around them sit the City of Winnipeg, the University of Manitoba with 10,457 staff, the University of Winnipeg and RRC Polytech, a financial services sector of more than 20,000 workers at Canada Life, IG Wealth Management, Wawanesa and the credit unions, 34 aerospace companies led by Boeing Winnipeg with about 1,500 employees, Magellan and StandardAero, the New Flyer and Motor Coach Industries bus plants, Richardson International, Canada Goose, CN’s Symington Yard and Transcona shops, the carriers of CentrePort, and a federal presence that includes the National Microbiology Laboratory, the Royal Canadian Mint and 17 Wing.

Email Applications, Online Profiles and Selection Boards

The province does not use an online application system: you email, mail or fax a cover letter and resume to the contact on the advertisement, with the advertisement number in the subject line, and the application must clearly show how you meet each qualification in the ad or it is not considered; after the closing date a selection board screens, interviews and may add written tests, presentations, references and a criminal record or child abuse registry check. The City of Winnipeg takes applications only through a careers account, resume attached and cover letter optional, asks online screening questions, reads every resume by hand against the required qualifications and interviews three to five candidates on a behavioural panel, which can take a few months. Shared Health and the WRHA hire through one careers site: you create a profile, attach a resume and cover letter, and shortlisting takes days or weeks before an interview and a request for three references. Manitoba Hydro wants the resume uploaded to an online profile, with a cover letter attached only to a specific application, and may add a questionnaire; MPI short-lists from its talent community and runs one or more interviews. Federal postings run through GC Jobs, where each screening question needs its own answer with examples, written in the first person, and you apply only if you meet every essential qualification.

Student Season, the Fiscal Year and the Winter Freeze

Winnipeg’s year has a shape. The City’s seasonal recruitment begins in January; in 2026 it announced hundreds of summer jobs on February 13, held a Public Works hiring hall on March 11, needed about 200 recreation technicians, and starts its labourers no earlier than April 15. Provincial student hiring runs through STEP, where the best time to register is January, the peak hiring period is early April and most summer positions run May to August, and the core public service ran 1,141 competitions on 54,829 applications in 2024-25, about 48 per competition. Manitoba Hydro posts about 200 summer student jobs on December 1 and recruits power line technicians in June and December, a five-month process. MPI posts its professional internships in February for May starts, Canada Life posts May work terms in January and February, and Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries recruits seasonal courtesy clerks from April and again from the first week of October for the holidays. Shared Health and WRHA postings run all year, many of them reposts, and a City competition can take a few months from close to offer. A resume written for Winnipeg shows this pattern as a career, not as a string of short jobs.

Whether you call it a Winnipeg resume, a Manitoba government resume or an aerospace resume, the job is the same: written for the reader in front of you, in the format that reader expects.

FAQ

Winnipeg Resume Writing Service Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our resume writing services in Winnipeg

Our Winnipeg resume writing starts at $99 with the Essential package, which covers the resume. The Premium package ($149) adds a cover letter written to your posting, and the Elite package ($199) adds the LinkedIn profile recruiters check before they call. A second resume or cover letter is $49, a 24-hour rush is $25 and interview coaching starts at $79. Every package includes revisions for two weeks and the 60-day interview guarantee, at the same price every other client pays.
No. We work with Winnipeg and the surrounding communities entirely by phone, email and video. Clients book a 15-minute phone or video consultation and have their first draft within 2 to 3 business days. The resume is written to Winnipeg employers; your resume writer does not need to be on Portage Avenue to do that.
By email, mail or fax to the contact on the job advertisement, with the advertisement number in the subject line; the province does not take applications through an online account. Its own guidance says the application must clearly show how you meet the qualifications in the ad, and that applicants who do not demonstrate them are not considered, so we write the resume so each qualification is easy to find, write the cover letter to the same ad, and keep the letter to one page. After the closing date a selection board screens every application against the ad, interviews the closest matches, and may add written tests, a presentation, references and a criminal record or child abuse registry check, so the documents and the interview tell one story.
The City takes applications only through a careers account, with the resume attached and a cover letter optional, and it does not accept general applications. It asks screening questions online, then says its recruiters read every cover letter and resume manually against the required qualifications, interview three to five candidates on a panel of HR and the hiring department, and use behavioural questions answered with STAR. It says it can take a few months to hear back, and that you do not need a police record check when you apply. We write the resume to the posting and the cover letter anyway, because the City reads both.
If you have applied to more than twenty postings without a call, usually yes. Winnipeg’s unemployment rate fell to 5.0% in September 2026, which means the people still applying are better matched, and the province alone received about 48 applications for every competition it ran in 2024-25, so the screen is decided before anyone reads page two. A $99 resume that fixes the format, the qualifications line and the keywords costs less than another month of applying, and the 60-day interview guarantee keeps the risk on our side.
Several places, all free, for the resume help in Winnipeg job seekers ask about most. Opportunities for Employment at 294 Portage Avenue offers free employment services that include resume assistance and interview preparation, and Youth Employment Services in the same building serves people 16 to 29. Winnipeg Public Library’s Jobs and Careers guide collects resume templates and guides. Newcomers register with Manitoba Start at 271 Portage Avenue for career services and job matching. Students use the University of Manitoba’s Resumé Learning Centre or RRC Polytech’s Career Services, and the province’s Manitoba Jobs and Skills Development Centres offer job search assistance and career counselling to eligible job seekers. Free help is usually a workshop or general feedback, which is often enough for a first resume. If you are applying to a specific Manitoba government advertisement, a Shared Health posting or an aerospace plant and want the document written for that reader, start with the free resume review Winnipeg clients use before they decide: send your current resume with the posting and we tell you what we would change.
Yes. Licences and tickets first: your AME licence or journeyperson certificate, Red Seal, WHMIS and shop certifications, then a shop history that shows the parts, engines or assemblies you worked on, the quality record and the volumes. Boeing Winnipeg employs about 1,500 people making more than 500 composite parts and assemblies, Magellan and StandardAero hire through online talent portals, and New Flyer and Motor Coach Industries take applications through NFI Group’s portals, so the resume is built to be read quickly by a plant recruiter and to upload cleanly as your profile.
Through one careers site for the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and Shared Health: you join the talent community by creating a profile, attach a resume and cover letter, and apply before the posting closes. Shortlisting takes days or a number of weeks, the interview covers your qualifications and how you would handle situations, and you are emailed for three references from current or previous jobs. We state your CRNM, CLPNM, CRPNM or college registration exactly, name the unit and the scope, and write the profile fields from the resume so the two never disagree.
Yes. One column, standard headings, no tables or text boxes, and the posting’s keywords in its own spelling. Manitoba Hydro asks you to upload the resume to an online profile, where it fills in the profile fields, and to attach a cover letter only when you apply to a specific posting; MPI short-lists from its talent community and runs one or more interviews, with a criminal record check and education verification for successful candidates; Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries no longer accepts applications by email. We write a two-page version for the Crowns and a cover letter that names the posting, because Hydro’s application wizard asks for one.
Plainly and briefly. A restructuring is not a performance issue, and hiring managers here know it; a slow season at the airport, a program wind-down at the province or a line change at a bus plant is not a reflection on the people who worked there. The dates close cleanly, the record leads with results, and the one-line explanation, if one is needed, goes in the cover letter, not the resume.
Ask who actually writes the resume, whether you can speak with that person, what they know about the employers you are applying to, and what happens if it does not work. Look for certified writers, a sample you can read, verified reviews you can click through to, and a guarantee in writing. Our Winnipeg resumes are written by certified writers you can talk to by phone or video, backed by verified Google reviews and a 60-day interview guarantee.
