Our method starts with one question, what does this Edmonton employer need to see to call you, and it is backed by our 60-day interview guarantee.

Tell Us About You

A consultation by phone or video about the roles you are targeting, the employers on your list and anything that complicates the story, from a rotation schedule to a layoff.

Gather Your Info

Your current resume, two or three postings you would apply to, your tickets and certifications, and the numbers behind your work: budgets, crews, volumes, uptime, caseloads.

Resume Writing

A writer who has sat on the hiring side drafts your Edmonton resume, and the cover letter and LinkedIn profile if you chose them. Your first draft arrives within 2 to 3 business days.

Your Feedback Matters

We refine every document with you until it reads like you on your best day, with revisions included for two weeks.

It’s Go Time

Apply with a resume that clears the ATS and makes sense to the person who reads it next, as a PDF and a Word file for the portals that ask.

Beat the Bots

Get More Interviews with an ATS-Ready Edmonton Resume

97.4% of Fortune 500 companies use an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to screen resumes, and so do the employers Edmonton job seekers apply to most: the Government of Alberta job board, the City of Edmonton’s online candidate profile, the Acute Care Alberta and AHS careers sites, and the large contractors in the Heartland and Nisku. A resume with tables, text boxes or a two-column layout is exactly what these systems parse worst. We engineer every line, keyword and layout so the software reads all of it and the person who follows sees a resume written for the job.

ATS-Optimized Layouts

One column, standard headings, no tables or text boxes, so the ATS, the recruiter and the hiring manager all read the same resume.

Keyword-Enriched Content

The job titles, tickets, systems and competencies the posting uses, in the spelling it uses, placed where the software and the reader both find them.

Before & After

We Turn Edmonton Duties Into Evidence an Employer Can Measure

Most Edmonton resumes list duties and tickets. Hiring managers here hire on scope, safety and numbers they can place. We replace the lines they skim past with lines that prove something.

The Edmonton Job Market

How Hiring Works in Edmonton, and What It Means for Your Resume

Edmonton is a government town, a health care town and the service centre for Alberta’s energy industry. The Legislature and the hospitals are here, the Industrial Heartland starts at the city limits, rotational workers fly to the oil sands from YEG, and each employer reads a resume differently.

The Employers of the Capital Region

Health care and public administration anchor the market. Acute Care Alberta, AHS and Covenant Health run the hospitals, many of the Alberta Public Service’s jobs are located in Edmonton, and the City of Edmonton’s 2026 budget funds about 15,800 full-time positions. Around them sit the University of Alberta, NAIT and MacEwan, the two big school boards, the head offices of PCL and Stantec, the refineries and chemical plants of the Industrial Heartland, the oilfield shops and manufacturers of Nisku and Leduc, Edmonton International Airport and the logistics parks around it, and a smaller but real technology sector.

Three Readers, Three Different Resumes

A Government of Alberta competition is scored by a panel of two or three against the posting’s competencies, and the province’s own guidance says the ideal resume is 2 to 3 pages with a one-page cover letter that includes the job ID. The City of Edmonton screens through an online candidate profile with pre-screening questions and says the process takes about 4 to 6 weeks after a posting closes. Health roles are now split across separate career sites for Acute Care Alberta, Primary Care Alberta, Recovery Alberta, Assisted Living Alberta, AHS and Covenant Health. In the trades, much of the work still moves through union dispatch, name hires and contractor recruiters who qualify you from your tickets before they read a word of your experience.

Turnarounds, Construction Season and Fly-In Fly-Out

Edmonton’s year has a shape. Spring and fall turnarounds at the Heartland plants and in the oil sands run 30 to 75 days and can bring in thousands of contract tradespeople, often through the union halls. Construction runs hard from spring until the ground freezes, then slows. Rotational workers live here and fly to Kearl, Horizon or Firebag on schedules such as 14 days on and 14 off, and in 2026 Suncor began requiring about 200 routine roles at Base Plant and Syncrude to be held by local residents while leaving turnaround work on rotation. The provincial fiscal year starts April 1 and the school year in September, two dates worth planning an application around. A resume written for Edmonton shows this pattern as a career, not as a string of short jobs.

Whether you call it an Edmonton resume, an Alberta government resume or a trades resume, the job is the same: written for the reader in front of you, in the format that reader expects.

FAQ

Edmonton Resume Writing Service Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our resume writing services in Edmonton

Our Edmonton resume writing starts at $99 with the Essential package, which covers the resume. The Premium package ($129) adds a cover letter written to your posting, and the Elite package ($199) adds the LinkedIn profile recruiters check before they call. A second resume or cover letter is $49, a 24-hour rush is $25 and interview coaching starts at $79. Every package includes revisions for two weeks and the 60-day interview guarantee, at the same price every other client pays.
No. We work with Edmonton and the surrounding communities entirely by phone, email and video. Edmonton clients book a phone or video consultation and have their first draft within 2 to 3 business days. The resume is written to Edmonton employers; your resume writer does not need to be down the street to do that.
The Government of Alberta’s own guidance says the ideal resume is 2 to 3 pages, with a one-page cover letter that includes the competition and job ID. Panels of two or three score candidates against the posting’s competencies, so we evidence each one on the page with a STAR example. We keep a tighter two-page version for private sector applications.
As a career, not as a string of absences. The rotation goes in the role line, the site and the equipment hours get their own lines, and the dates run continuously so both the ATS and the reader see steady employment. If you are moving off rotation into a job in town, we lead with the skills that transfer and state the move plainly.
If you have applied to more than twenty postings without a call, usually yes. Edmonton’s unemployment rate is still above Alberta’s and Canada’s, so most postings draw a crowded shortlist and the screen is decided before anyone reads page two. A $99 resume that fixes the format, the tickets line and the keywords costs less than another month of applying, and the 60-day interview guarantee keeps the risk on our side.
Yes. Tickets first: your journeyperson certificate, Red Seal, CSTS, H2S Alive and site orientations, then a site history that shows the plants, scopes and turnaround seasons you have worked. It is built to be read quickly by a contractor’s recruiter or a name-hire request, and it doubles as the profile you upload to a hall or to CLAC Jobs West.
It depends on who the employer of record is. Acute Care Alberta, Primary Care Alberta, Recovery Alberta and Assisted Living Alberta now post separately, AHS still runs its own careers site, and Covenant Health has another. We write the resume to the posting and state your CRNA, CLPNA or college registration exactly, so it clears whichever board it goes through.
Yes. One column, standard headings, no tables or text boxes, and the posting’s keywords in its own spelling. The City of Edmonton screens through an online candidate profile with pre-screening questions and says the process takes about 4 to 6 weeks after a posting closes, so the resume has to clear the software before anyone reads it.
Plainly and briefly. A restructuring is not a performance issue, and Edmonton hiring managers know it; the Imperial Oil cuts, the health system reorganization and the Sherritt shutdown in Fort Saskatchewan have put a lot of good people on the market at once. The dates close cleanly, the record leads with results, and the one-line explanation, if one is needed, goes in the cover letter, not the resume.
Ask who actually writes the resume, whether you can speak with that person, what they know about the employers you are applying to, and what happens if it does not work. Look for certified writers, a sample you can read, verified reviews you can click through to, and a guarantee in writing. Our Edmonton resumes are written by certified writers you can talk to by phone or video, backed by verified Google reviews and a 60-day interview guarantee.
