5 Simple Steps

How Our Regina Resume Writing Service Works

Our method starts with one question, what does this Regina employer need to see to call you, and it is backed by our 60-day interview guarantee.

Tell Us About You

A consultation by phone or video about the roles you are targeting, the employers on your list and anything that complicates the story, from a turnaround season to a layoff.

Gather Your Info

Your current resume, two or three postings you would apply to, your tickets, registrations and certifications, and the numbers behind your work: budgets, crews, caseloads, claims, tonnes.

Resume Writing

A writer who has sat on the hiring side drafts your resume, and the cover letter and LinkedIn profile if you chose them. Your first draft arrives within 2 to 3 business days.

Your Feedback Matters

We refine every document with you until it reads like you on your best day, with revisions included for two weeks.

It’s Go Time

Apply with a resume that clears the screening questions and makes sense to the panel that reads it next, as a PDF and a Word file for the portals that ask.

Beat the Bots

Get More Interviews with an ATS-Ready Regina Resume

97.4% of Fortune 500 companies screen resumes with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS). So do Regina’s main employers: the province’s portal, the City’s candidate profile, the SHA talent community and the Crowns’ hiring portals. We engineer every line and layout to be read in full.

ATS-Optimized Layouts

One column, standard headings, no tables or text boxes, so the portal, the recruiter and the hiring panel all read the same resume.

Keyword-Enriched Content

The job titles, registrations, systems and qualifications the posting uses, in the spelling it uses, placed where the software and the screener both find them.

Before & After

We Turn Duties Into Measurable Wins

Most Regina resumes list duties and tickets. Panels here score the posted qualifications and plant managers hire on scope, safety and numbers. We replace the lines they skim past with lines that prove something.

BeforeResponsible for processing claims and answering customer calls.

Regina Resume Transformation

How We Transform a Regina Resume

A before-and-after sample from our Regina resume writing service, with the details anonymized. Same agrologist, completely transformed.

A grain terminal manager’s resume before and after our rewrite.

The Designations Move to the Top

The P.Ag leaves a sentence under Certificates and joins the name, with the CCA beside it, under the title the posting uses, Agriculture Operations Manager, and the Grain Commission, TDG and Class 1A tickets get a block of their own.

Scope Before Results

Every role opens with the size of the operation, 480,000 tonnes a year on a 134-car loop track, a $34M inputs business and a crew of 18 that scales to 40 through seeding and harvest, so a Regina reader can place the numbers that follow.

Duties Turned Into Numbers

“Take in grain and load rail cars” becomes demurrage cut from $218,000 to $31,000 a year, and “other duties as required” becomes three years without a lost-time injury and a clean Grain Commission record across six.

The Regina Job Market

How Hiring Works in Regina, and What It Means for Your Resume

Regina is a capital city, a Crown corporation town and the service centre for a farming province. The Legislature, the Crown head offices and the hospitals are here, the refinery and the steel mill sit on the city’s edge, the crush plants and the data centre are going up around it, and each employer reads a resume differently.

The Employers of the Queen City

Public administration anchors the market. The Saskatchewan public service employs about 12,000 people and says many of its jobs are located in Regina, and the Crown corporations, SaskPower, SaskTel, SGI, SaskEnergy and the Workers’ Compensation Board, keep their head offices here. The Saskatchewan Health Authority runs the Regina General and Pasqua hospitals and the Urgent Care Centre on Albert Street, with a 240-bed specialized long-term care facility under construction for 2028. Around them sit the City of Regina, the University of Regina, Saskatchewan Polytechnic, RCMP Depot, Farm Credit Canada with more than 1,000 employees in the city, Conexus Credit Union, Mosaic’s Canadian head office, the Co-op Refinery Complex, Interpro Pipe and Steel (the former Evraz mill), Brandt, Cargill’s new canola crush plant and the carriers of the Global Transportation Hub.

Portals, Questionnaires and Panels

The province takes applications through its careers portal, asks that they be customized to the posted qualifications, may add screening questions, and interviews with a hiring panel; for most SGEU and CUPE positions, internal candidates are considered first. The City of Regina screens through a candidate profile at jobs.regina.ca with pre-screening questions, says every application is reviewed by a person rather than AI, takes about four to eight weeks and runs one or two behavioural interviews. SaskTel evaluates on skills, education and experience, contacts candidates two to six weeks after closing and interviews with a panel of two or three. SaskEnergy wants a resume of no more than two pages. The University of Regina, Saskatchewan Polytechnic and Farm Credit Canada post competition numbers and expect the cover letter to quote them. The Saskatchewan Health Authority takes applications through its talent community with a set of application questions, and RCMP Depot’s civilian and public service jobs run through GC Jobs, where each screening question needs its own full answer with examples and the resume is pasted as plain text.

Turnarounds, Harvest and the Fiscal Year

Regina’s year has a shape. The Co-op Refinery Complex’s 2026 turnaround ran about 54 days this spring, put more than 1,500 people on site a day at its peak and created about 1,600 temporary jobs, most of them trades hired through contractors. Cargill’s canola crush plant opened in April 2026 and supports more than 100 jobs, and construction of the Bell AI data centre in the RM of Sherwood is expected to need more than 800 tradespeople before the first data hall opens in 2027. Seeding and harvest set the calendar for the agri-food employers. The provincial budget is tabled in March and the fiscal year starts April 1, when ministry and Crown hiring plans reset, the school year starts in September, and a City of Regina competition takes about four to eight weeks from close to offer. A resume written for Regina shows this pattern as a career, not as a string of short jobs.

Whether you call it a Regina resume, a Saskatchewan government resume or a trades resume, the job is the same: written for the reader in front of you, in the format that reader expects.

Service Area

Resume Writing Across Regina and the Surrounding Communities

We provide professional resume services in Regina and the surrounding communities entirely by phone, email and video. A ministry downtown, a refinery contractor on the east side and a distribution centre at the GTH each read a resume differently; we write to the one in front of you.

  • White City and Emerald ParkThe commuter communities east of the city, home to many of the tradespeople, engineers and Crown staff who drive in on Highway 1 every morning
  • Pilot Butte and BalgonieHighway 1 east: families who commute into the city and the trades who work the refinery turnarounds, the Interpro mill and the industrial east side
  • Lumsden and Regina BeachThe Qu’Appelle Valley towns north of the city, 20 to 40 minutes from a downtown Crown office or the hospitals
  • The Global Transportation Hub and the RM of SherwoodThe carriers, warehouses and distribution centres of the GTH, and the Bell AI data centre going up in the RM of Sherwood
  • Moose Jaw15 Wing, the regional hospital, Sask Polytech’s Moose Jaw campus and the employers along Highway 1, 45 minutes west of the city
  • Fort Qu’Appelle and Indian HeadValley and farm towns within an hour of the city, whose job seekers apply to city employers as often as to local ones
  • Weyburn and the SoutheastOil and farm country southeast of the city, where a Crown posting and an oilfield service company read a resume very differently

FAQ

Regina Resume Writing Service Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our resume writing services in Regina

Our Regina resume writing starts at $99 with the Essential package, which covers the resume. The Premium package ($129) adds a cover letter written to your posting, and the Elite package ($199) adds the LinkedIn profile recruiters check before they call. A second resume or cover letter is $49, a 24-hour rush is $25 and interview coaching starts at $79. Every package includes revisions for two weeks and the 60-day interview guarantee, at the same price every other client pays.
No. We work with Regina and the surrounding communities entirely by phone, email and video. Clients book a 15-minute phone or video consultation and have their first draft within 2 to 3 business days. The resume is written to Regina employers; your resume writer does not need to be on Albert Street to do that.
Through the province’s careers portal, before 11:59 p.m. on the closing date. The province’s own guidance says to customize the application to the posted qualifications and warns that you may be asked screening questions, so we write the resume so each qualification is easy to find, draft the screening answers from the same STAR examples, and keep the letter to one page. A hiring panel scores the interview against the same qualifications, so the three documents and the interview tell one story.
The City screens through a candidate profile at jobs.regina.ca and says every application is reviewed by its team, not by AI, after any pre-screening questions. It says recruitment usually takes four to eight weeks, that candidates under consideration hear back within two to four weeks of the closing date, and that there are one or two behavioural interviews. A cover letter is optional there; we still write one when the posting is a leadership role, because the City says it helps.
If you have applied to more than twenty postings without a call, usually yes. Regina’s unemployment rate sits a point above Saskatchewan’s, so most postings draw a crowded shortlist and the screen is decided before anyone reads page two. A $99 resume that fixes the format, the qualifications line and the keywords costs less than another month of applying, and the 60-day interview guarantee keeps the risk on our side.
Five places, all free, for the resume help Regina job seekers ask about most. Regina Public Library’s Career Services offers resume and cover letter help by appointment and sessions with volunteer employment coaches. The province’s SaskJobs Career Services office at 1955 Broad Street has career development professionals who help build a resume and cover letter. Campus career centres review resumes for students and recent graduates; the University of Regina’s Centre for Experiential and Service Learning and Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s Student Employment Services both do. Newcomers can use the employment services at the Regina Open Door Society, and the Regina Work Preparation Centre’s Employment Pathways program is open to anyone. Free help is usually a workshop or general feedback, which is often enough for a first resume. If you are applying to a specific Government of Saskatchewan competition, an SHA posting or a refinery contractor and want the document written for that reader, start with the free resume review Regina clients use before they decide: send your current resume with the posting and we tell you what we would change.
Yes. Tickets first: your journeyperson certificate, Red Seal, CSTS, H2S Alive and site orientations, then a site history that shows the plants, scopes and turnaround seasons you have worked. The 2026 turnaround ran about 54 days with more than 1,500 people on site a day at its peak, almost all of them hired through contractors, so the resume is built to be read quickly by a contractor’s recruiter, and it doubles as the profile you upload to their portal.
Through the SHA’s talent community: you create a profile, attach the resume and answer a set of application questions before you can submit. We state your CRNS, SALPN, RPNAS or college registration exactly, name the unit and the scope, and answer the application questions from the resume so the two never disagree. Physician postings go through Health Careers Saskatchewan instead.
Yes. One column, standard headings, no tables or text boxes, and the posting’s keywords in its own spelling. SaskTel says applications are evaluated on skills, education and experience after the closing date and that it can take two to six weeks to hear back; SaskEnergy asks for a resume of no more than two pages; SaskPower may add an assessment such as an abilities test or a case study. We write a two-page version for the Crowns and a cover letter that names the position and says why that Crown, because SaskEnergy asks for both.
Plainly and briefly. A restructuring is not a performance issue, and hiring managers here know it; a paused project at the refinery, a stalled crush plant and an ownership change at the steel mill are not a reflection on the people who worked there. The dates close cleanly, the record leads with results, and the one-line explanation, if one is needed, goes in the cover letter, not the resume.
Ask who actually writes the resume, whether you can speak with that person, what they know about the employers you are applying to, and what happens if it does not work. Look for certified writers, a sample you can read, verified reviews you can click through to, and a guarantee in writing. Our Regina resumes are written by certified writers you can talk to by phone or video, backed by verified Google reviews and a 60-day interview guarantee.
